Follow Christ, Lead the Way

Richmond KY- To kick off their 2020-2021 Spring Schedule, the Ohio Christian University Trailblazer Men's golf team competed in the Alice Lloyd Spring invitational located in Richmond, Kentucky. As a team, the Trailblazer's shot 295-310 to shoot an overall score of 605.

 

They got off to a hot start by shooting the school record with a team score of 295 on first day of competing. This record-breaking performance was led by Elias Montgomery (SO/Piketon, OH) with a round of 70 and Noah Lung (JR/Winchester, OH) with a first round score of 72. Michael Cooper (SR/Pauma Valley, CA) and Jake Hamilton rounded out the record breaking round with 73 and 80, respectively. This put the Trailblazers in a solid 3rd place out of 9 teams.

 

Day 2 came and went, and the Trailblazers came out with another solid team score of 310. Day 2 was led by Michael Cooper and Quinn Chapman (SR/Heath, OH) with rounds of 76. This performance by senior Michael Cooper was good enough to place him in 15th place as an individual for both days, with an overall score off 149. Jake Hamilton made his trailblazer debut with strong rounds of 80-77.

 

This effort by the Trailblazers Men's golf team was good enough for a 5th place finish out of the 9 teams competing.
