Trailblazers Set To Face Southeastern In NAIA National Tournament

KANSAS CITY, MO – The Ohio Christian University Lady Trailblazers patiently awaited their draw in the 2020 NAIA DII National Championship Tournament on Wednesday evening. Entering the tournament as the #8 seed in the Duer Bracket, the Lady Trailblazers will face the Fire of Southeastern University, the #3 seed overall.

Ohio Christian received their automatic bid following a stellar season and impressive conference tournament run in which they rallied off three consecutive wins of 10+ points, two of which took place on the road. Their championship victory on Tuesday at Indiana University Southeast sealed their spot.

Southeastern received their automatic bid following a regular season title in The Sun Conference. They finished the season with a record of 26-3 overall.

The opening round of the tournament will begin on Wednesday, March 11th, however Ohio Christian playing Southeastern on Thursday the 12th at 10:15 AM. Live stats and livestream will be provided (PPV) by the NAIA.

Pertuset, Gillum Named All-RSC Members

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - One day prior to taking their team into the River States Conference championship against Indiana University Southeast, Staci Pertuset (1st Team) and Rachel Gillum (2nd Team) each were named All-RSC members on Monday afternoon. Barksdale Tabbed All-RSC First Team

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - Following the conclusion of the 2019-20 season, Sophomore Justin Barksdale has been named All-RSC First Team by the conference's head coaches. Barksdale joined nine others from around the conference to be named first team members. Overall, Barksdale put up numbers of 16.1 PPG and 9.0 RPG, averaging just short of a double double. In total, Barksdale finished the year with 452 points and 251 rebounds, while shooting 53.4% from the field.
