Ohio Christian University is excited to welcome Rev. Susie Shellenberger as the featured speaker for this year’s Fall Revival. Fall Revival will start on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, and will conclude on Thursday, September 10. Susie is no stranger to our revival stage. She has spoken at Ohio Christian University each year since 2013 and every year she has left a phenomenal impression on our student body.
Rev. Susie Shellenberger grew up in Bethany, Oklahoma, and her fun and colorful personality is incorporated into her ministry. She attended Southern Nazarene University where she served as the first elected female student government president and received a B.A. in Communications with minors in English and Creative Writing. She received her Master’s Degree in creative writing from the University of Central Oklahoma and served as a youth pastor for many years across the country. Susie’s fast paced, in-depth, and non-compromising speaking style conveys a relatable message with her audience. She dives inside the Scriptures to ensure that you leave with a fresh and captivating revelation.

C.S. Lewis is Coming to Ohio Christian University

Ohio Christian University is excited to bring “The Most Reluctant
Convert” to its Circleville Campus. There will be two shows only, on
January 15, 2022, at 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM in the Ministry and Performing Arts
Center (MPAC). This Fellowship for Performing Arts production has toured the
United States from New York to California and played on campuses such as
Princeton, Vanderbilt, Wheaton, UNC-Chapel Hill, and many other esteemed
institutions of higher learning. Using C.S. Lewis’ own words, award-winning
actor Max McLean brings the brilliant Oxford fellow to life, taking us on his

Ohio Christian University held its first ever Summer Celebration Picnic on
Friday, July 16, 2021. This was a time for OCU Alumni, donor partners and
community members to get together and enjoy Food, Friends and Fellowship. In
spite of some scattered storms, many people of all ages gathered together.
Matt Hunnell, VP of University Advancement commented: “Despite a little
rain, we had a great turn out. It was wonderful to see smiling faces on
campus, and our friends enjoying music, a good meal, and time together. We
look forward to many more events and gatherings on campus in the

30th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament Raises Over $40,000 for Students

Ohio Christian University's 30th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament was held
on Saturday, June 19th, at the Pickaway Country Club Golf Course. Four-person
teams enjoyed a round of golf, raising over $40,000 to fund scholarships for
current students. These OCU Scholarships are awarded to current campus
students each year at the Annual Scholarship Banquet.
"The annual OCU golf tournament is one of our major fundraising events for
student scholarships – and is also a great way to connect with donors who
love golf and love our students", explained OCU President Dr. Jon Kulaga.

Homecoming Celebration Hosts Warm Reception Despite Cold Day

Ohio Christian University’s Homecoming and Family Day 2019 welcomed over
400 alumni and their family members home on Oct. 12. The atmosphere was warm
and lively despite the chilly fall weather that forced many of the events
inside.
The day started early with 74 participants shrugging off temperatures in the
mid-40’s as they ran or walked in the 7th annual Josias Rodriguez 5k
Run/Walk. The event is held in memory of a much-loved ministry student who
tragically lost his life in a hiking accident. Josias Rodriguez’s mom spoke
briefly at the start of the race with his dad firing the

400 alumni and their family members home on Oct. 12. The atmosphere was warm
and lively despite the chilly fall weather that forced many of the events

Mark Lee Performs on Campus

Mark Lee caught the attention of Ohio Christian University and the
surrounding community with his witty sense of humor and passion for sharing
Christ with others. Lee is a founding member and guitarist for popular
Christian band Third Day. During his “An Evening with Mark Lee” concert
on Sept. 16, Lee shared his music as well as stories from his own life.
During the concert, Lee shared a part of his testimony from his recent book
“Hurt Road.” Lee told the audience how his leg was badly injured as a
result of an accident with a truck. It was during this down time as his leg
was healing

Ohio Christian University will host the 7th annual Josias Rodriguez 5k
Run/Walk on Saturday, Oct. 12. The event is held in honor of Josias
Rodriguez, a student who tragically lost his life in a hiking incident.
Josias was known for his passion for Christ and for how he inspired the
people around him.
“Today, Josias’ example is one that has laid the foundation for future
students to pursue their dreams of being in ministry and an example that
reminds us of the race that we must also finish,” said Nancy Wilcox, a
close friend of Josias. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Josias

The ADVANCE Mid-State League 2019 Leadership Summit on Sept 10 was a major
success with over 450 students and coaches from Mid-State League member
schools in attendance. The purpose of the event was to develop
student-athletes into effective leaders within their teams and the broader
community. Athletic Director David Bireline said, "to build this
relationship between our university and the Mid-State League is very exciting
for us as an athletic department. So many people played a role in making it
happen, and we hope we can continue this relationship in the years to come."
