One of our ministry students, Eli Adkins, returned this past week from a three-week mission trip to Bolivia. He traveled with OCU Missions adjunct professor and alum Michael Brown, who is currently a World Gospel Mission missionary to Bolivia. While there, Eli preached at ten different churches in the cities of Santa Cruz and Tarija, as well as the towns of Tupiza, Cornaca, and Tocloca. In addition to preaching, he had the opportunity to give his testimony in multiple churches, attend a wedding in the mining town of Tatasi, and be interviewed for a Bolivia Evangelical University podcast, where he gave his testimony, talked about his call to ministry, and discussed the importance of Christian education.
“The Lord first called me into ministry when I went on a mission trip to Bolivia six years ago. This eventually led me to decide to come to OCU and pursue a Biblical Studies degree. It was an honor to return to Bolivia after two years at OCU and be able to use what I have learned so far to preach and serve the Lord where He first called me!”
