President Jon S. Kulaga sets forth his vision for the University's future by examining higher education through the lens of Scripture in his six-part essay below. In response to challenges of thriving in a pluralistic culture, Kulaga articulates a missional course for the University that upholds the truth and reality of Jesus Christ. "The effective integration of faith and learning places God at the center and gives the Christian student a lens with which to view the world. Lack of a Christian worldview in many colleges and universities has resulted in curricula in which faith is disconnected from virtually every academic discipline and seen as incongruent with serious scholarship, research, and teaching. Mature Christians know, however, that trying to fashion a philosophy founded on subjectively determined beliefs and concepts of reality leaves God outside of the person’s planning–and the person outside of God’s plan. This university provides students with a place to stand in understanding Jesus Christ is the perfect unity of reality and truth."
