Garrett VonBerge wins NCCAA Burbridge Award; Sneed Named All-American

CINCINNATI, OH - Garrett VonBerge was announced as the recipient of the Hank Burbridge Unlimited Potential Outstanding Christian Leadership Award during the NCCAA National Tournament in Mason, Ohio.

The award is named after the late legendary Spring Arbor University coach, Hank Burbridge, and is sponsored by UPI.

The honoree must at least be a junior. He must possess and demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities, athletic ability, a vibrant and clear Christian testimony on and off the field, an unlimited potential in serving Christ through athletics, his local fellowship, sports evangelism, and/or other Christian organizations. Finally, he must possess at least a 2.5 GPA.

VonBerge joins current assistant coach and former player, Michael Blevins, as the 2nd OCU player in 3 years to receive this high honor from the NCCAA.

Avery Sneed was also honored at the banquet, being named an NCCAA All-American.


2013 NCCAA All-American Avery Sneed
