OCU Comes Away With 71-62 Victory Over Central Bible in Day #2 of AG Classic

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Ohio Christian capped off the second day of the Valley Forge AG Classic with a big 72-61 victory over a scrappy and well coached Central Bible College team from Springfield, Missouri.

Both teams played even in the first half as the score was knotted up at 29-29 at halftime.  OCU was struggling to find their offensive rhythm in the first half as they shot a lackluster 11 of 29 from the field for 37.9%.

The Trailblazers pushed ahead late in the 2nd half as OCU stepped up with big shots at key moments to spark a pivotal 6-0 run for Ohio Christian.  Central Bible was forced to foul down the stretch and OCU took care of business at the charity stripe to seal the 71-62 win.

"Central is a well coached team that plays great defense," said OCU Head Coach Tony Stockman.  "We had some guys that really stepped up on both ends of the floor to help us pull out the win down the stretch today."

OCU was led by Wesley Russell who tossed in a game high 28 points.  Evan Mills added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the win.  Rounding out the scoring for OCU was James Nelson with 8 points, Jimmy Horton Jr. with 7 points, Treyvon Crater with 6 points, and Milen Kostov with 5 points.
