OCU Women's Hoops Taking Christmas to the Dominican Republic

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The #2 ranked OCU Women's Basketball team finishes out their first semester schedule on Thursday night against Valor Christian College at 6:00 PM. Shortly after the game the Trailblazers will be preparing to leave the country and go on a mission trip where the ladies will be spending part of their Christmas break serving others and ministering in the Dominican Republic.

While in the Dominican Republic the team will be working on a construction project with Josiah's House, a local orphanage that serves children in the area. The team is hoping to also bring a little Christmas cheer for the impoverished area by taking toys and basketball related items for the children.

Fans who donate a basketball related item or toy for a Dominican Republic child will be granted free admission into the game on Thursday night. Fans who pay the $5.00 admission fee can take joy in knowing that the OCU Athletic Department will be donating the entire gate from Thursday toward the mission trip and Christmas gifts for the children at the orphanage.

The OCU women will be taking on Valor Christian at 6:00 PM. The OCU men will be taking on Valor Christian at 8:00 PM.
