Women's Basketball Prepares For Mission Trip to Dominican Republic

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The OCU Women's Basketball team is embarking on their first ever overseas mission trip in December.  The ladies will be heading to the Dominican Republic as a part of a missions trip coordinated by Score International Missions.

The team will be spending a big part of their Christmas break in the Dominican Republic where they have plans to serve the local community.  They are currently scheduled to provide manual labor on a construction project in the community.  They will also be ministering and spending a day serving at a local orphanage known as Josiah's House.  The team is planning to play in a couple of basketball games on their trip in addition to holding a basketball clinic while they are there.

The ladies ask that you would prayerfully consider supporting them as they prepare for their trip.  Each player is responsible for raising $1,700 in financial support.  The team as a whole is required to raise a total of $27,720.  The team has been working very hard to raise the funds necessary as they have worked at Columbus Crew games, held a yard sale, held a 3 on 3 basketball tournament, and are planning a T-shirt sale.

For more information on how you can help partner with the OCU Women's Basketball team as the prepare for their trip, please contact head coach Mandy Wray.  If you are wanting to support the team financially keep in mind that all donations are tax deductible.
